A local photographer and an avid humanitarian come together to make a difference in Thailand working with the children and helping to bring awareness and education to the small community of Chiang Rai. Together they plan on bringing a piece of Thailand back to the US and bring awareness to our local city about the struggles and challenges for children and community development in a struggling foreign country. Leah Dionne and Chazz Patel are volunteers for International Volunteer HQ, a world leader in operating international volunteer programs. International Volunteer HQ makes volunteering abroad possible for people of all backgrounds and with limited time by providing the opportunity to experience another culture while making a real difference in people’s lives in as little as one week
They will spend 2 months in Thailand, where they will combine their skills, Chazz's background in Photography, and military medical training, and Leah’s knowledge/experience in humanitarian work, and will focus their efforts on community development, which will help local social service pioneers achieve their goals and missions. While in Thailand they will send out personal postcards to provide an up to date look at their progress. A Myspace will also be establish to view photographs, and to communicate with the two young humanitarians. Upon their return they will hold an exclusive gala style party for those who helped make this journey possible by sponsoring and contributing. The gala will display all the wonderful pictures of their time in Thailand and all of their artifacts and knowledge that were gained abroad.
The International Volunteer HQ program includes an intensive orientation with in-country expert staff. Participants live at the CCS Home-Base while performing their volunteer duties. Volunteers pay their own airfare and a U.S. tax-deductible program fee to International Volunteer HQ to cover all in-country expenses. To help make this trip possible you can sponsor Leah Dionne and Chazz Patel for as little as $35 each, this represents their daily expense. They have a deadline of Aug 22, to reach ther goal of $2150 each. If you would like to donate to this cause please contact Leah Dionne through this site or you can make a secure online payment through www.paypal.com choose the option to send money payable to email address chazzydesigns@gmail.com.
