It’s Your World: We’re Just Passing Through is an exhilarating, environmentally-conscious adventure travel documentary series in which our hosts traverse the globe in search of extra-ordinary individuals making a difference. From the foothills of the Himalayas to the rainforests of Central America, the cast works with groups passionate about social and environmental change. They connect with communities, explore the arts, spotlight pressing issues, and partake in projects; all this while entertaining and empowering viewers to reduce their eco-footprints and get involved.
The hosts work alongside inspiring individuals dedicating their lives to community and conservation work – often at great personal and professional risk. Some groups devote their time and resources rescuing and rehabilitating threatened and endangered species, many having been confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade. Others work to build community libraries in rural environments; some work to outlaw combustion taxis and plastic bags from urban environments; spay and neuter street animals; encourage water conservation; promote wind and solar power, or organic farming – the true “movers and shakers” of their communities.
In the wake of global climate concerns and ecological crises, accelerated modernization, and unprecedented wildlife extinction, It’s Your World is a journey inspired by questions and motivated toward solutions. We at The Dandelion Project understand that the individuals who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. It’s Your World – filmed in High-Definition – is part investigative, part adventure and wholly participatory – demonstrating that “voluntourism” can be a viable, rewarding alternative to typical travel.
From filming exposés on the inhumane treatment of captive wildlife in the U.S., spearheading HIV/AIDS radio campaigns in Madagascar, documenting illegal whaling activities in Antarctica, or photographing wildlife in the reserves of South Africa, every team member brings their own cache of experience and passion to It's Your World.
