You all know that I work for Sankara, but I also share a very long personal story with Sankara. It is a cause I believe very strongly in! I truly feel that by supporting Sankara's mission of Vision 20/20 by 2020, we will be able to set up a united front against curable blindness in India. It is disheartening to know that 45 million people live in darkness while most of them could be cured using existing medical techniques. It just takes $30 to perform a life-saving cataract procedure and gives these people a chance at the quality of life every human being deserves! If they have their vision restored, they will be able to become self-sufficient and contribute to their families and the communities they live in.  Close
