My name is Dana Costin, I am the legal representative of ROLDA,a registered Romanian animal protection charity ,which proudly affiliates with Romanian League in Defense of Animals (501-c-3 US charity) and Romania Animal Aid from UK.
ROLDA built and administrates two shelters for abandoned ,abused and homeless small animals,mostly cats and dogs. There are 20,000 homeless dogs estimated only Galati town (south-east of Romania).There are millions strays all over Romania country.

My name is Dana Costin, I am the legal representative of ROLDA,a registered Romanian animal protection charity ,which proudly affiliates with Romanian League in Defense of Animals (501-c-3 US charity) and Romania Animal Aid from UK.
ROLDA built and administrates two shelters for abandoned ,abused and homeless small animals,mostly cats and dogs. There are 20,000 homeless dogs estimated only Galati town (south-east of Romania).There are millions strays all over Romania country.
In our shelters, daily 500 homeless animals are well-cared by quality trained staff and with permanent veterinary assistance provided. Over 850 animals with and without owner were helped during 2008 , the costs of veterinary emergency treatments and surgeries paid by ROLDA Foundation as part of our "Support Community Program". 1,100 homeless animals saved and if the case, spayed/neutered at Mittal plant.
We also run a very well known international volunteers scheme since 2004.
One of our shelter was top-rated after an evaluation made by a US publication
between others 17 Eastern Europe's shelters.
Our official partner is the well known steel producer,Arcelor Mittal.
In the past ,we welcomed a film crew interested to make a documentary about Romanian homeless animals condition and Mrs.Loretta Swit,the actress.
Our longterm projects are :building a sanctuary for abused donkeys and horses from Romania, building different other small animals sanctuaries and start a veterinary clinic,especially addressed to homeless animals and pets owned by people with low income.
