A significant amount of children that receive hairpieces from Locks of Love suffer from alopecia areata, which is and incurable disease and has no known cause. To create these hair prosthetics, the donated hair is of the highest quality and handled with great care. Locks of Love caters specifically to financially disadvantaged children under the age of eighteen in the United States and Canada in order to give them a feeling of normality and confidence to face their everyday peers.  Close
