Description of Cause:

Nationally, 1 in 8 babies are born too soon. It's closer to 1 in 7 in Texas. The earlier they are, the more likely they are to have problems. The March of Dimes beat polio and it now it aims to learn why babies arrive prematurely and how that can be prevented. The longer they stay in the womb, the fewer problems they'll have after being born.

Mission Statement:

We're among the luckiest of the lucky. Our twin sons beat all the odds associated with their extreme prematurity -- 17 weeks too soon, weighing 18 ounces each. Now, it's our goal to make sure other families are as fortunate.
