My cause is supporting the Haven of Rest Ministries in Battle Creek, MI. ... Read More As a community member and comfort consultant I find it disheartening to know that men, women and children in my own community do not even have the simple comforts that we take for granted such as a pillow, blanket and bed to call their own. My cause is supporting the Haven of Rest Ministries in Battle Creek, MI. Their programs for the Haven and Inasmuch house are designed to give temporary housing to men, women and children that have no other place to go. There is an estimated population of 2,000 homeless men, women and children in our area. The Haven serves 65,000 meals to over 1,700 homeless men, children and women each year. On a daily basis they provide emergency shelter for an average of 35 men and 20 women and children.  Close
