Over the last 25 years, survival rates for children with cancer as well as treatement has increased dramatically. Unfortunetly cancer has not been completely eliminated and is still killing, children one at a time. Each day, more children survive because of donations, which make all the difference. Every doller, every dime, even every penny matters and can help save a life.
Would you be willing to give a quarter for a child's life?
Testimonial:
The only child I have ever known that has had cancer was my next door neighbor named Nathan. He was 3 years old when he was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had to have one of his kidneys removed as well as chemo therapy. It has been about 5 years since then and the cancer has stayed in remission. The other two people I know that have had cancer were my grandparents. Unfortunetly, they both got it when they were quite old and neither of them survived it. It was hard for my to see them die of cancer, but it was even more difficult seeing my young neighbor get diagnosed with it. Nathan's life was just beginning and I felt that it was not right to have cancer at such a young age. I am extremely grateful that he survived it though. I have seen so many commercials and infomercials about St. Jude and I know if a that the last person I would want to have cancer is a child. Children do not deserve to have that kind of disease thrust upon them when they have just barely begun their life. That is the reason that I chose this cause. Close

Our mission is to invest in the lives of children by funding cancer research, by healing the soul through fun experiences and by advocating for a cancer-free tomorrow.
We are pleased that most common forms of childhood cancer, including Leukemia, are no longer the certain death they were before WOKC was founded. However, for many childhood cancers, the odds are still less than 50% survival. And cancer remains the number one disease killer of American children and the number two killer after auto accidents. Every day 46 children will be diagnosed with cancer. Of those, 7 will not survive, and of those who do survive nearly 66% will struggle with chronic medical issues brought on by the treatment of their cancer.
These children are fighting valiantly every day to survive their cancer. However, they cannot be their own advocates. It is our job to do that for them.
At Wipe Out Kids' Cancer, we will not halt our efforts until children are free from the threat of cancer. We will not halt until the day when all children are living... cancer free.
