I'm Meredith McDonald. I'm 16, and I attend Coppell High School. I dance roughly 25 hours a week, and I love it so so much. I'm also really interested in photography, music managment, and event planning. The firts thing that I'm going to do when I graduate is get out of Texas. There's so much out there for me to see!
Jesus Christ is my guiding light.
Testimonial:
Self mutilation, depression, suicide. These are some pretty heavy issues. And they are very near and dear to my heart.

Self mutilation, depression, suicide. These are some pretty heavy issues. And they are very near and dear to my heart.
About three years ago, my best friend's dad left her mom for another man. This unbelievable act of selfishness drove my friend, Madeline, down a path of self destruction and hate. She wasn't good enough for her dad. She wasn't worth it to him to stay. It was all her fault. These horrible, and untrue thoughts began to consume her, and eat away at her from the inside, and eventually out. On May 13, 2006, I recieved a desprate call from her mother, Karen.
Madeline and sliced her wrists with a steak knife.
My sister and I met them at the ER, and I had to watch, as my best friend in the whole world, was sewn up, and sent to stay the night in a pshyc ward, and was put on suicide watch.
I have seen first hand the affects of destructive thinking. And that's why I'm huge advocate for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an organization who's mission is to fund research about, and to stop depression and suicide. The mission of this organization is to aid people in the realization that they are not alone in this world. They don't have to turn to harmful things in times of need. And most importantly, they don't need to kill themselves when in a time of desperation.
