We beat Tx East (Seguin) 3-1 on Sunday. Louisiana beat Tx East 10-9 yesterday. So we play LA for the championship tonite!! 07/27/10...After last night's championship game, NSLL Sr. Softball All-stars are ("repeat"—2009 and 2010) "Texas West" State Champs!! They are just one tournament away from the World Series and they need your support, please! With just a couple days between each tournament, the girls have very little time for fundraising, so we are reaching out to all NSLL & Softball supporters and friends for assistance. The team's next stop is the Southwest Regional tournament in Alexandria/Pineville, LA (July 29th thru August 4th) where they'll play against teams from Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, "Texas East" and Colorado. http://www.eteamz.com/SLSBSWR/ Their ultimate goal--the World Series--is after that!! The girls will greatly appreciate your support. Thank you! Northside Suburban Little League's Sr. League Softball All-star team was 1 game away from competing in the 2009 World Series. And after last year’s successful season, these girls have worked throughout the year and joined forces again to focus on reaching their goal of participating in the 2010 Senior League World Series in Roxana, Delaware beginning August 8th. As the team makes every effort to meet this goal, we will encounter numerous financial hurdles. There is a high level of commitment from our girls and parents in order for our team to be successful. The players are would like to coordinate fundraisers throughout the season, and sponsorships are also essential to help with the monetary costs of each tournament. A tournament’s costs include softballs, transportation, meals and lodging, snacks, sports drinks, and “trinkets” to exchange with the other teams. Each tournament costs the team more than $2,500. First and foremost, the girls request your "team spirit" support! If you're able to, please send supportive notes via our group site and/or come out to cheer-on the team at a game.
