We're looking for someone who can take any project thrown at them and run with it. Let's clarify what we mean.
At YourCause, we continue to expand into new business areas - acting upon the needs and request of our clients. Although all of these areas have a technology and web component to them, we currently need to find individuals who can help operate the business, operations, and everything else that goes into getting a product from concept to reality. Of course, all positions at YourCause require some degree of knowledge of technology, but a primary focus on marketing, business, legal, and/or finance could suit you very well.
Right now, we're aggressively expanding into an area that has a definitive need for financial and/or accounting skills. It would seem ideal for someone who found themselves after college saying "I don't want to spend all my time doing accounting." Sound familiar?
The keys to these positions are simple:
1) You must be smart. Not just book smart but also smart on your feet. Can you think many steps ahead, all the time, and quickly size up what must be done in order to provide a product that is above and beyond all else in the market?
2) You must be thorough. We're looking for someone who actually prides themselves in thinking of every angle when coming up with a solution to every problem (but doesn't take an eternity to do so). Being detail-oriented is a total plus, but can easily become a detriment if you tend to get bogged down in your own analysis.
3) Confidence in your work and decisions. We are going to look to you to make decisions from day one that will have an immediate impact on our business. If you're not confident in your own decisions, then how can we be confident in you? If you are smart about making thorough decisions, then there should be no reason NOT to be confident about what you're doing. Did you follow that double negative?
4) Eager, energetic and fun. We're seeking someone who is eager to succeed, energetic about doing some good and will have fun while doing their job better than anybody else could. If you don't find "working hard" fun, then save your time and don't apply.
If you think this might be a good fit for you, then tell us why.
