We are "SAN ANTONIO'S HOMETOWN BAND!" I joined ACCMB in May 2002 and was immediately enthralled with the concept of an adult marching band. It had been 26 years since I had played my clarinet and had doubts about being able to play...but as told, it is like riding a bike, it would all came back...and it did! We welcome your vist to our website..www.ACCMB.org, and we are also on Facebook. I decided to get more involved so I was elected Vice-President of the Band Council in January 2004. January 2005, I was elected Vice-President of the Board of Directors, in August 2008 I became President of the Board of Directors, a position I still hold. Our Band Director, Mr. Juan Garcia, is a retired 23 year US Army bandsman. Served both in the United States and overseas, his military career had him performing for Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton. He played for European royalty and celebrities such as Bob Hope. A most notable achievement is Garcia’s Big Band era musical transcriptions which were played and recorded by the Jazz Ambassadors, and the United States Army’s premier jazz touring group based in Washington, D.C. We are very fortunate to have him. Thank you for your time.
