Jamie Larson and Allie Moore are Junior Board members for the EDC, whose primary mission is to increase awareness about eating disorders as serious illnesses and a public health priority. The EDC hopes to accomplish this through:

• Increasing resources for research, education, and prevention;
• Promoting federal support for improved access to health care (both mental and physical);
• Promoting the national awareness of eating disorders as a public health problem; and
• Promoting initiatives that support the healthy development of children.
