Kidd’s Kids is a 501 (c)(3) organization, founded by nationally syndicated morning show personality Kidd Kraddick. Kidd’s Kids was founded on the premise of making a difference in the lives of children with special medical needs. Kidd’s dream was to gather families together going through the enormous struggle of having a child with special medical needs and treat them to a fantasy-filled vacation. Due to the generosity of Kidd’s listeners and corporate donations, we now take between 40 and 50 families to Walt Disney World® in Florida each year.
During this five-day trip, which takes place every November, these kids and their families enjoy all the excitement that a Walt Disney World ® / Kidd’s Kids vacation can offer. For many families with terminally ill or physically challenged children, this is a very rare opportunity to leave behind hospital and treatment centers to share laughter and fun in a magical environment. It’s the goal of Kidd’s Kids to make this a trip of a lifetime.

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is: "Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke." The mission statement was updated by the American Heart Association during its Annual Meeting in April 2007. The mission statement undergoes a formal review process every third year. The association's impact goal is to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke and risk by 25 percent by 2010. Progress toward the goal will be measured according to these indicators: * Reduce the death rate from coronary heart disease and stroke by 25 percent. * Reduce the prevalence of smoking, high blood cholesterol and physical inactivity by 25 percent. * Reduce the rate of uncontrolled high blood pressure by 25 percent. * Eliminate the growth of obesity and diabetes.

Six-year-old Heroes continues to gain momentum with every passing year. In 2006, we helped some 25,000 area children fill their idle time with activities that help build character and self-confidence. We currently have over 1,000 kids who are participating full-time in either our Elite basketball/baseball programs or Heroes-sponsored leagues.Through existing and newly created partnerships with Whataburger, the City of Dallas, the Dallas Park & Recreation Department, the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Independent School District and several prominent area businessmen and women, we hope to almost triple this number for 2007. The mission of all Heroes programs is to reach as many at-risk inner city kids as possible with as many constructive opportunities as possible -- opportunities to participate in and learn the finer points of team sports, and to participate in educational and cultural curriculums that give them hope for a much brighter future.

The primary vision of Family Legacy Missions International is to be a catalyst for enabling the people we serve to be wholly transformed as they experience the ABUNDANT LIFE of a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. There are really two groups of people that we have been led to minister to through Family Legacy – the American Family and the Zambian Orphan. We feel that our calling is to foster a dynamic and growing relationship between the families of America and the AIDS orphans of Zambia. We have seen first hand the amazing power of the Holy Spirit as He leads American kids, college students, and parents to become the hands and feet of Jesus to the poor children in Zambia who have known nothing but sadness and death during their short time on earth so far. James 1:27 says “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God is this: to visit the widows and the orphans in their distress. ” In taking the American Family to visit the widows and orphans in their distress in Zambia, we have seen amazing LIFE transformations take place in everyone involved. THIS is what God has given us to do and we have been blessed to witness it since 2001.

The North Texas Food Bank passionately pursues a hunger-free community. The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. The NTFB supports the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships. Close the Gap is the NTFB’s 3-year initiative to unite the community to narrow the food gap by providing access to 50 million meals annually.
